Adam Frank, our lead educational psychologist, began working with children in 2003, after serving in the United States Army. He began as a secondary-level teacher (Middle/High School). Adam has also worked on the college-level as an adjunct professor. Adam holds both a Master’s of Arts and Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from California State University, Sacramento.
Additionally, Adam has extensive training in the science of behavior and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). As a BCBA, he can assess individuals with behavioral problems, study changes the environment has on behavior, and implement plans to fix problem behaviors. Adam is a specialist in the area of applied behavior analysis, which takes principles learned in research and uses them to facilitate changes in behavior. Each client is unique and treated as a separate individual. What treatment might work well for one client may be wrong for another because everyone learns in a different way. Each individual has their own challenges that need addressing and treatment.
After much investigation and working individually with the client and other stakeholders (ex: family, doctors, school), an individual treatment plan is developed, which is based on the client’s specific problems and learning ability. A great deal of time will be dedicated to working with and observing the client to see what is the most effective treatment for that individual based on environmental factors, behaviors and outcomes.
Adam has completed training and provided assessment/therapeutic services for several school districts in the greater Sacramento Area.

Adam has worked with, and completed evaluations for a wide range of learners from toddler age to adults and provided direct special education services to learners in the primary, secondary and post-secondary settings.
